How the Process Works

Springfield.Community accepts technology of all kinds. Equipment suitable for reuse will be cleaned and restored to a high standard of quality, then they are given to individuals and organizations who are otherwise unable to access opportunities through digital innovation. Important data within the computers will be securely wiped before the device is given a new home.

We recycle all equipment we cannot refurbish and bring back to the community. Some will be dismantled and used as parts for other equipment, some will be used as development platforms, and some will be used for education and research purposes. Anything else will be safely disposed of with thoughtfulness of its environmental impact.

Have something to donate that seems right but isn’t on this list? We still might be interested! Reach out to us at donate@springfield.community
