Erica Rachel Andrews, Co-Founder and President of Springfield Massachusetts Tech 501(c)(3) nonprofit Springfield.community, was nominated for and received a 2026 Commonwealth Pride Award. She was nominated by State Representative Bud L. Williams, 11th Hampden District and was presented the award by Cynthia Lewis, Committee Director for the Joint Committee on Racial Equity, Civil Rights, and Inclusion.
Her biography in the event program was a glowing recognition of her service to our Western Massachusetts community: “Erica Rachel Andrews has spent her entire career uplifting other marginalized people. A proud transgender woman and Springfield Massachusetts resident, she is founder and president of Springfield.community, a small grassroots tech 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing free refurbished computers and hands-on digital skills education to Springfield-area residents in need. She has served on the Board of Directors of the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, as At-Large Neighborhood Council Member and Treasurer for Springfield’s McKnight Neighborhood, and was selected as a 2026 MassDems Convention Delegate for Hampden County. Through her relentless work and unwavering advocacy, Erica Rachel Andrews continues to uplift not only her LGBTQIA+ siblings but also countless others in need, striving to inspire all those around her with belief in their own inherent worth, capability, strength, value, and voice.”
